Gardening Activities

On Tuesday, 20 September, Bur-Del clients in Ayr, were invited to attend a gardening session at the Aboriginality Centre.

Participants were given the choice to plant cherry tomato or cucumber seeds in a small pot to be kept at the centre. The group will continue to look after their plants as they grow and give produce within the next few weeks.

Activity Coordinator Lynette Zaro said she wanted a bit of competition between the group to see whose plants would grow the biggest and quickest.

“We want them to have fun, but it’s good to have a bit of competition between them as well. It means they’ll all be wanting to take care of their plants,” she said.
