Bur-Del Co-operative Advancement Society Limited was founded in March 1975 to establish a housing co-operative to provide rental accommodation to Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Australian South Sea Islander families in the Burdekin region. Bur-Del aims to provide affordable and culturally appropriate housing to its tenants. Bur-Del owns and manages 38 houses, four units with two bedrooms and 30 one-bedroom units. Bur-Del tenancy manages five units with two bedrooms under Community Housing.
